I’ve been an avid reader of yours on Rotoworld.com all year, and I finally had my first trade offer of the basketball season that is worth seeking outside consideration. I’m currently sitting five games behind first in my H2H league, with a solid squad. I’ve been trying to get Chris Paul all year, and his owner finally offered me a decent trade, but I’m still riding the fence.

Give: Josh Howard and Kevin Martin
Receive: Chris Paul and Manu Ginobli

The Paul for Howard is a no-brainer in my opinion. Even with Paul’s injury, he’s just too good to pass up. Plus, I’m really short in point guards sporting Gilbert Arenas and Charlie Bell as my only two options. As for Manu for Martin, the Spurs have a horrendous upcoming schedule, including this week, and worst off, he’s now coming off the bench in relief of Barry. Manu did put up more than 20 two nights ago, but it’s still a worry. Martin’s spark has worn off for my tastes and I’d move him, but is it worth it for Ginobli?

I agree James. I do think Gasol could have plenty more value if the deal to the Bulls goes through and generally, he's picked his game up of late. Wallace, on the other hand, seems lost at times and his act is growing tired in Detroit. Could be time for another change for him too.

Paul "Worthless fantasy player this season" Gasol and Rasheed "6th man" Wallace for Dirk "THe constant" Nowitzki and Mike "solid numbers only" Miller sounds like a helluva deal to me too. I ask Rob for alot of help, but I would have pulled this trigger before asking him.

Gasol is off this year with injury, so he was taken too high in many leagues. Wallace saw his value plummet when C-Webb hit the spot. The ONLY way Gasol/Wallace do better than Nowitzki/Miller is if Gasol gets real helthy, real quick. And, Wallace finds a way to get about 7 years younger.
