[...] Of course, we discussed the Cubs situation back in April when things also werent going to swimmingly. But were now into June and the situation grows more tenuous by the day. This team has dropped four straight and eight of its past 10 to fall to 22-29. Fortunately, they are still tied for second in the woeful NL Central, a topic we discussed earlier this week, so the good news is theres plenty of time to fix this. [...]

As a Red Sox fan, it always comforted me to an extent knowing someone was out there suffering more than I. Curse of the Goat, man.

The Cubs were supposed to be good this year, right? It is a hard thing to explain, that team. It makes me wonder what they did to somebody above.
Well, let's hope the Cubs can put it all together one of these years, like Boston did, and win the whole thing. Now that would make for a great ball season.

[...] If I could, I would keep Hamilton in the DL slot and ride Pence until he calms down. If that is not an option, then I drop Hamilton and ride Pence until he cools off. The problem is that Pence is just going crazy at the plate right now and I wouldn’t cut him loose until he gives me a reason to. As we discussed last week, Pence has been a breath of fresh air in an otherwise putrid situation in Houston. [...]
