If you've stuck with Fukumori this long Todd you deserve your customary slot at the bottom of the heap. You must admit though that Kobayashi is looking a bit better with the Betancourt failures of late. So far this year we've seen a 20% turnover in closers, with more surely to come. I haven't compared this to past years, but it certainly brings into question the validity of spending middle-to-late round draft picks on that position. One might be better off building a stronger offense or group of starting pitchers and gambling on set-up guys and the waiver wire to fill the closer slots. Just some food for thought.

If Graman generates any interest at all, you can bet McLeod will hype him like he's the second coming of Marino Rivera. I'm still reeling in one league from the Fukumori hype.

[...] RotoRob wrote an interesting post today on Fantasy Notes: Around the DiamondHere’s a quick excerpt We’re going to bounce all over the map today, discussing some minor leaguers, some major leaguers, some Indy players and even some international players. Nevin Ashley, the Rays’ sixth rounder in 2006, is struggling to adjust to High-A ball this season. The former First Team All-Missouri Valley Conference catcher is just 5-for-33 in his last ten games, and his OPS is a putrid 501 through 29 games. The 23-year-old enjoyed a productive season at A-ball in 2007, earning a spot on the mid-season So [...]
