Oh, there are still a quality defense. I didn't mean to imply they were worthless at all.

We put the Seahawks DEF right at 10, which is probably a conservative estimate. It will be interesting to see how the Niners and Rams do on offense with both taking steps backwards last year.

The defense was a bit of an underachiever last year, (I know, I drafted them in the last round), but they got me just as many points as the Steelers D.

If the D would play up to their potential more often, they would be a top 5 defense.

The Rams have had a highly precise and potent offense for years, so points given up to them is a given.
Same thing with the Cardinals. They both have the ability to put up a lot of points.

If you want to talk about getting clobbered, look at the Falcons game. I don't see any of the division games as the defense getting clobbered. 21 points is more than I want to see on the scoreboard against us, and in FF it sucks, but it isn't bad considering.

Oops on the 56 points. Apparently I missed a couple scores...

Hey Joel,

First off, you're not exactly accurate with the points against there. It was a respectable 72 they allowed. That's still a good number of course, (12 per game average) but the Cardinals battered them to the tune of 44 points in two games along with 786 yards.

The 72 point total was thanks mostly due to the 49ers being terrible. But my point was the Rams were successful for a couple years against them, then the 49ers clobbered them two years ago, and then the Cardinals destroyed them last year.

Again, the Seahawks DEF isn't bad or even not worth taking, but the division hasn't been as inept as, say, the 12-4 year was.

Thanks for reading!

You are an idiot, plain and simple. How many points did the NFC West score against Seattle last year? 56 to be exact. 56 points in six games. Now, what does that average out to brainiac?
It might help if you actually did some research before you publish something. Of course, it IS your job, right?
