Yes, now that the Yanks' playoff streak is over, and they are no longer the "evil empire," are we supposed to feel sorry for them? I'm having a tough time, here. Do I need sensitivity training or something?

Thank goodness for Brian Cashman and the Yankees for being the voice of reason and fair play on this issue. We know the Yankees love all forms of international play shown by their love of the World Baseball Classic and the Dominican Series where they readily make their players available to further the international game on all fronts. I applaud the Yanks for their unwillingness to bid on Tazawa and uphold the Gentlemen's Agreement with the Japanese League. The Yankees have always sought to better the game of baseball through their fair play and financial restraint. Their embrace of revenue sharing is heartwarming and shows just how giving the Yankees are to their fellow MLB teams If all teams could follow the example of the Yankees the world of baseball would be a better place. Team slogan for 2009: The Yankees and We Care. Sniff! :_)
