Thanks for the comments. Gerald, I think the proof will be in the pudding this summer. I am by no means a Raptors insider (but have one joining the TSM family soon!) but I think that the notion that the Raptors can't go into next season with a lame duck Bosh. I love how folks here tend to interpret a players willingness to sign in Toronto as shitting on the city or the country.

There is a ton of pressure on Colangelo. He has had total autonomy with his team and all the cash in the world to work with. 2 things every GM wants.

Time will tell.

I think it's hilarious that the amateur psychics and psychologists are assessing Bosh from a distance and prognosticating on his future. The American Basketball pundits also assumed Bosh wouldn't resign with Toronto the first time...or that Vince Carter wouldn't resign the first time. If I had a dollar for every time one of these clowns hugged their voodoo doll and shouted out something like they were speaking in tongues, I'd be a rich man.

The latest from Colangelo and Bosh is that they are going in to next season with an open ended situation. That way Toronto has one more chance to woo Bosh and Bosh has one more chance to prove he's a franchise player. At the end of that if Bosh wants to leave then they will do a sign and trade that gets Bosh his money and Toronto a fare shake at the trade table. Unlike a lot of NBA personalities both of these men have track records of doing pretty much what they say. If there is some plausible evidence beyond the status quo subversive anti Toronto rhetoric I'll be glad to reevaluate, other wise don't waste our time.

Good article. I think Bosh needs to stay and if he doesnt the Raptors best be getting something to keep the fans coming back. Marion is good but he can not be the center of the team.
