The Yankees don't have a very solid history with import pitchers and I think the odds are fairly poor that Hank Steinbrenner opens the vault for Chapman. The memories of Hideki Irabu, Jose Contreras, and now Kei Igawa are way too fresh in both Hank's mind and wallet.

Cuba is blessed with many things such as beautiful scenery, premium cigars, and now Chapman. I can definitely see myself sitting back smoking a Cuban cigar, that I would order from gocubans.com, and watching Chapman play for the NY Yankees. That's a team with a lot of money to spend and could definitely use a pitcher like Chapman if they ever want to take the title back from Boston.
