Podcast: Let’s Make a Deal

Dan Haren was acquired by the Los Angeles Angels.
AL-only league owners were falling over themselves trying to nab Dan Haren.

Sunday evening, I joined Rich Wilson and Tony Cincotta for our weekly look at the happenings around MLB on the FantasyPros911 show on Blogtalkradio.

We kicked off the show by reviewing the trade deadline moves, with a lively discussion on the whys and what ifs of the many deals made in the past week. Who were the big winners and losers this past week?

The implications of all these trades also sparked some riveting discussion relating to single format leagues and the mad dash to pick up the likes of Dan Haren, Lance Berkman, and Matt Capps.

Moving on, we talked about Stephen Strasburg’s injury and the various options that could be in play heading into August and September. Will Strasburg be returning in 2010? Do we see Jordan Zimmerman and/or Yunesky Maya some time in the near future?

Next on the agenda was our weekly discussion on two-start pitchers. Would you start Brandon Morrow, Brian Duensing or Livan Hernandez this week?
