Hi Kingsley,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention; I had someone else point this out to me on Twitter and explain what happened to me. You're right; I should have edited the article to reflect this, but failed to do so. I shall do so now.

Thanks again for the clarification.

"Not too shabby for a dude who was unable to play in the league’s inaugural season in 2010 because he had been caught doping and earned a 14-month suspension."

I would strongly suggest that you edit this comment and issue the appropriate retraction and apology for a simply untruthful statement that also appears on the shady and parasitic Australian Baseball Digest website that regrettably gains fairly wide attention in Australia.

Brad Harman was NOT suspended because "he had been caught doping". To my knowledge there was not even an allegation that he had been doping. What he did do - and was suspended for - was to commit breaches of the "whereabouts rule".

There is a world of difference between being found guilty of doping and not notifying of changes of address (whatever one might think of possible motives). Brad Harman copped the suspension and has been back playing top-level baseball for some time. He will be on the Australian squad for the World Baseball Classic and he may, as you point out, still create some interest among US playing organisations.

Defaming the guy - as you have done by telling untruths - may not hurt him. But it certainly will not help.

See the following news report for details of the suspension.
