The Second Annual 12 Days of Code-mas!

The Second Annual 12 Days of Code-Mas
Codes? Where we’re going we don’t need codes…

On the twelfth day of Code-mas,
Gamer Rob sent to me
Twelve sploders sploding,
Eleven taggers tagging,
Ten deaths a-spanking,
Nine heroes guarding,
Eight orcs a-dying,
Seven squirts a-squirting,
Six birds a-boiling,
FIVE HA-DOU-KENS,
Four DeLoreans,
Three rangers,
Two commandos,
And some robots made of TVs!

Codes? Where we’re going we don’t need codes…

Believe it or not, it’s that time of the year again. Time for Gamer Claus to hand out CODES! CODES! CODES! to all the boys and girls. For 12 glorious days starting Tuesday, December 13, and ending Saturday, December 24, we’ll be selecting winners, springing surprises, dropping codes and giving away some awesome games.

Of course, none of this would be possible without lots of support, so I’d like to thank: Activision, Epic, Microsoft, Sony, SEGA, THQ, Capcom, Twisted Pixel, Robot Entertainment, Double Fine, Telltale Games, Signal Studios, Supergiant Games, Trendy Entertainment, Zen Studios, Hothead Games, Reverb Communications, Bender/Helper Impact and Forty-Seven for their help in putting this together.

And also a very special thank you to Blake Packard, who once again did an awesome job with our “greeting card.” Please feel free to check out the full-sized image here.

You can list as many or as few as you’d like, and if you win your code will be awarded based on the highest remaining title on your list. Please include your @Twitter name if you have one — if not, make sure the e-mail you use when entering your comment is correct. Click here for a sample post.

Step 2. Tweet the following: “Follow @VideoGamerRob and enter to win one of more than 15 titles during the 12 Days of Code-mas — http://bit.ly/uTLJF4 #codemas” — Please make sure to include the hashtag for tracking purposes.

THE FINE PRINT

Winners will be selected daily from Dec. 13 through Dec. 24. Anyone can enter, but to win you must either be following me on Twitter or use a valid email address when entering so that I can contact you.

Contest: Try The Sports Parlor For Free and Win $200

November 15, 2011 | by RotoRob | Comments (1)
So how is this 100 per cent legal? Because games are based on statistics, team scoring adjustments, and Flex Players. When you select a team to win, you then have the ability to swap in players from the default bench to the starting lineup if you think they may perform better. Every yard, tackle and splash play on the field results in points for your Sports Parlor squad. The Sports Parlor even helps you by setting a default roster, which saves you the agony of mulling over every pick the way other sites do. Then it’s time to use your Fantasy prowess and choose two Flex Players from any other contest playing that week.

Video Game Review: NBA 2k12

October 19, 2011 | by Herija Green | Comments (134)
While that level of depth and complexity can be considered both a pro and a con, the passing remains a sporadic source of frustration. Icon passing is still the most effective method, but there seems to be a slight delay between input and execution, which leads to passing lanes closing down and turnovers being committed. Shooting is still tremendous while defense is generally strong.
