A big change to the 2009 edition is that the capsules are split up by position, a feature we’re sure you’ll appreciate greatly.

For the second straight year, Andy and Derek both did a boatload of writing for Rotoman’s always entertaining Fantasy Football Guide. It’s a publication I’ve helped out with from time to time behind the scenes as well, so we have a long association with both his football and his baseball mags.

At any rate, the guys pitched in this year by writing the quarterback, running back, kicker and defense/special teams rankings.

The pub includes over 1,500 player profiles; picks and pans; top rookie predictions; a mock draft; and strategy essays, among other things. One caveat about the pub: It seems some gremlins crawled into works and screwed with the header chart for second basemen, turning the clock back to 2006 when Alfonso Soriano still qualified and ruled the roost at the keystone corner. This situation has been rectified on Rotoman’s site, with the proper listing for 2007 second basemen here.

So, go ahead and pick up The Fantasy Baseball Guide, 2007 Professional Edition. It’s a fantastic pub — well written and witty at once, but always informative. Don’t you dare head to the draft table without a copy.
