The clock is ticking down on the 2015 baseball season, but we’re here to provide some last-minute help for your Fantasy team. Here are this week’s Fantasy baseball waiver wire recommendations, as we present our 2015 season finale of the Wire Troll.

Michael Conforto, LF, New York Mets (ESPN: 26.3 per cent owned; CBS: 44 per cent owned): Conforto was almost demoted to the minors not all that long ago, but he is here to stay now. He has hit consistently with a solid power stroke for a Mets team that seems to be firing on all cylinders. Conforto has also flashed some sweet leather in left field (see video below).

Sean Nolin, SP, Oakland Athletics (ESPN: 1.7 per cent; CBS: 3 per cent): One of the pieces moved by Toronto in the Josh Donaldson blockbuster, Nolin has had a few solid starts so far for Oakland and could be worth a look over the final few weeks.

Steve Pearce, OF/1B, Baltimore Orioles (ESPN: 3.8 per cent; CBS: 14 per cent): Pearce has flashed some recent power, helping provide a silver lining in what’s been a disappointing, injury-riddled season.

Aramis Ramirez, 3B, Pittsburgh Pirates (ESPN: 19 per cent; CBS: 33 per cent): Ramirez is in his final season, but will be seeing more regular third base action after the devastating injury that ended the season of rookie infielder Jung Ho Kang.

Nolan Reimold, OF, Baltimore Orioles (ESPN: 11.5 per cent; CBS: 4 per cent): The corner outfield has been a revolving door for the Orioles this year, but Reimold is finally healthy (again) and could contribute some pop to your lineup.

Jake Peavy, SP, San Francisco Giants (ESPN: 20.8 per cent; CBS: 39 per cent): Okay, so Peavy’s two-year run of winning World Series rings will end, but maybe this veteran hurler can help you win a Fantasy title. He’s been drinking from the fountain of youth of late, going 4-0 with a 3.52 ERA over his last five starts.

Kevin Gausman, SP, Baltimore Orioles (ESPN: 26 per cent; CBS: 49 per cent): Gausman is starting to live up to the hype with some solid starts recently and he has strikeout stuff.

Others to Consider

Travis Shaw, 1B, Boston Red Sox (ESPN: 22.5 per cent; CBS: 30 per cent): We recommended Shaw at the beginning of August, yet he remains widely available despite hitting .310 last month. Yes, he’s slowed down this month, average wise, but a 6-for-11 showing this weekend in Toronto suggests he’s shaking that slump.

Cory Spangenberg, 2B, San Diego Padres (ESPN: 0.9 per cent; CBS: 3 per cent): Spangenberg (knee) was activated in mid-August after missing nearly 40 games, and he came back with a vengeance, batting .306 with a .375 OBP last month and continuing to be productive in September. Take a look in NL-only leagues.

Dioner Navarro, C, Toronto Blue Jays (ESPN: 0.6 per cent; CBS: 5 per cent): Navarro doesn’t play much, but if you need a catcher in a deep AL-only league, he has some value, having hit safely in five straight games with three multi-hit efforts. He’s actually scoring more often this season, although his slash line has been in regression for a couple of years.

Now it’s your turn. Let us know in the comments below who your favourite Fantasy baseball waiver wire pick of the week is.
