After a week off, RotoRob Fantasy Baseball Weekly Podcast — heard every Thursday at 9 p.m. EST on Blogtalkradio — was back in action as RotoRob was joined by Tim McLeod of Pattonandco.com. BTR was acting particularly bitchy Thursday — kicking us both off multiple times. So please excuse the dead air, but — not to be denied — we return shortly after each absence.

Among the topics we isolated:

  • You’ve got to like Archie Bradley’s MLB debut.
  • Christian Yelich’s back woes were short lived as he finally nabbed his first steal of the season.
  • Tim expects Yelich’s speed to decline and his power to increase as he ages.
  • Chris Capuano will likely take over as the Yankees’ fifth starter — until Ivan Nova is ready.
  • Kennys Vargas finally flashed his immense power.
  • Despite the abundance of outfielders in Milwaukee, the injury to Carlos Gomez will definitely hurt the Brew Crew.
  • Tim expects better days ahead for Jose Altuve, who is finally heating up after a sluggish start.
  • It’s hard enough adjusting to the bigs, but handing a young pitcher a closing gig is asking for trouble.

Another week, another episode of RotoRob’s Fantasy Baseball Weekly Podcast, heard every Thursday at 9 p.m. EST on Blogtalkradio. But to say this week wasn’t special would be inaccurate. After all, it was our first Podcast since Spring Training games started in full force.

Milwaukee Brewers 2011 Season Review

October 23, 2011 | by RotoRob | Comments (3)
The Milwaukee Brewers got off to a sluggish start, dropping their first four games and struggling through a bad stretch at the end of April and beginning of May that had them six games under .500 as of May 6.

Milwaukee Brewers 2009 Season Review

December 21, 2009 | by Herija Green | Comments (2)
Fielder was also the only player in the majors to play in (and start) all 162 games. The powerful slugger is a perfect fit for a blue collar city like Milwaukee with the kind of body that makes every recreational league softball star think he can play pro ball. He’s under team control through the 2011 season, and while some experts have championed the idea of dealing Fielder now for a package of prospects, it’s more likely the Brewers will hold on to him through at least the upcoming campaign.
